Job Description

Gauss Labs seeks passionate, creative, and motivated software engineers. As a Gaussian Software Engineer, you will design and develop industrial metrology products. You'll collaborate with talented Software Engineers and Applied Scientists to deliver enterprise-quality software. You will gain experience in a hyper-growth environment by building reliable software using state-of-the-art engineering, machine learning, and AI technologies. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering enterprise-level software products to customers. Success in this role requires commitment to teamwork and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and improve existing reliable, scalable, high-performance industrial metrology frameworks
  • Optimize the performance of the industrial metrology module
  • Design and implement backend APIs to control the industry metrology services
  • Design and implement MLOps pipelines for the industry metrology applications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline
  • Professional software development experience with one or more programming languages
  • Strong understanding of fundamental concepts in algorithms, data structures, and distributed computing
  • Proven track record demonstrating fast learning ability and complex problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Experience with data processing systems, MLOps and cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure, Kubernetes, Ray cluster, Mlflow, Flink, Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, Redis, MongoDB)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and the ability to iterate quickly with teammates, incorporating feedback and holding a high bar for quality
