Software Engineer - Jira/Java/Postgres - 20+ yrs of Experience (PARTIAL TELEWORK) - TS/SCI w/Poly clearance is required - BT Halogen Engineering Group is looking for a Software Engineer with back-end development experience. Location: Annapolis Junction, MD/Hybrid Travel Required: No Shift: Day Remote Type: Hybrid (Up to 16 hours of telework dependent on tasking) Security Clearance: Current TS/SCI Polygraph: Required Salary Range The projected compensation range for this position is 233K-246K (annualized USD). Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. Requirements Required Skills Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and enhance software solutions Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements Conduct design and code reviews. Work on problems of diverse scopes where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Experience using Jira and Confluence Experience with the following software development skills: Git Java, C++, and/or Python Relational database, such as Postgres Qualifications A Master's degree with seventeen (17) years of software engineering experience OR a Bachelor’s degree with twenty (20) years of software engineering experience in a Qualified Engineering Field (Aeronautics, Biomedical, Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Environmental, Mechanical, Nuclear, Software, Systems, and Engineering Management) or a related discipline (Chemistry, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, and Physics) from an accredited college or university OR a High School Diploma or GED with twenty-four (24) years of software engineering experience.
