Job Description

As an Software Engineer Intern, you will be tasked with building and testing React-based UI components at the platform level.

You will get hands-on exposure to industry-standard development workflows and tools, including GitHub, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions, working alongside experienced engineers to understand how production-grade frontend systems are built and maintained.

You will have the opportunity to contribute to highly scalable, maintainable, and robust codebases while leveraging modern AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code to grow your skills and productivity.

What Will You Do?

Primary responsibilities include

• Help shape the InfraTable platform component by developing new features, addressing technical debt, and improving the developer experience.
• Collaborate with Product Management, UX and other engineers on the strategic direction of the component.
• Be accountable for features from the requirements refinement phase to the successful production deployment.
• Provide constructive feedback during code reviews to support continuous improvement.
• Develop React-based UI components for the platform, following existing design, code standards, unit tests, E2E tests, and documentation.
• Write clean, well-structured code to implement responsive and accessible frontend interfaces.
• Support the team in documenting and improving frontend workflows, flagging issues and suggesting small improvements as you learn the codebase.

What Skills and Knowledge Will You Bring?

Ideal candidates will have:

• Hands-on familiarity with React and JavaScript/TypeScript through personal or academic projects.
• Basic understanding of CSS and responsive design principles.
• Comfort using Git and GitHub for version control (even at a basic level — commits, branches, pull requests).
• A keen eye for UI quality and detail — able to spot visual inconsistencies and usability issues during testing.
• Demonstrated problem-solving mindset — ability to break down issues methodically, debug independently, and seek help when genuinely stuck.
• Basic awareness of AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, and openness to using them responsibly to improve productivity and code quality.
