ABOUT THE ROLE
Are you fascinated by how software is deployed, scaled, and maintained in high-stakes environments? Our Instrumentation Development chapter in Sant Cugat (Barcelona) is looking for a Software Engineer Trainee to join our DevOps and Infrastructure operations.
In this role, you will be the backbone of our development process. You won't just be writing code; you will be ensuring that our software reaches its destination (testing and production environments) smoothly and reliably. This is a unique opportunity to enter the DevOps world, a discipline built on experience and collaboration rather than traditional textbooks.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Environment Maintenance: Support the daily operations of our testing environments, ensuring they are ready for the testing team’s deployments.
Pipeline Optimization: Collaborate with our implementation partners to maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines, ensuring faster and safer software delivery.
Infrastructure as Code: Assist in managing containerized environments using Docker, kubernetes and cloud resources within Azure and AWS
Daily Support: Provide support to the development squads in their day-to-day DevOps needs, troubleshooting deployment issues and monitoring system health.
Continuous Improvement: Participate in initiatives to automate manual tasks and modernize our current infrastructure.
HOW WOULD YOUR DAY-TO-DAY LOOK LIKE?
Your day will start with a sync meeting to identify any bottlenecks in our deployment pipelines or environments. Under the guidance of your assigned mentor, you will learn how to manage the infrastructure and how to orchestrate services with Kubernetes
You will work closely with both the testing team (to provide them with stable environments) and our external implementation partners (to learn and improve how we build software). It is a hands-on journey where you will see the immediate impact of your work on the speed and quality of the entire department.
WHO ARE YOU?
Education: Recent graduate in Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related technical field.
DevOps Passion: You are naturally curious about cloud technologies, automation, and the "behind the scenes" of software development.
Tech Interest: While you don't need to be an expert, you have a basic understanding or a strong desire to master Cloud services and Kubernetes
Mindset: You are a problem-solver who enjoys technical challenges and thrives in collaborative environments.
Languages: Professional proficiency in English (B1/B2 or higher).
WHAT DO WE OFFER?
A Real DevOps School: DevOps is learned by doing. We offer you the environment, the tools, and the team to transform your curiosity into a professional career.
Mentorship: You will have a dedicated mentor to guide your learning path from day one.
High-Tech Stack: Gain hands-on experience with industry-standard tools (Azure, Docker, CI/CD).
Flexibility: A flexible working model in our Sant Cugat office with remote work options.
Program: This position is part of our START TECH program for young digital talent.
