SOFTWARE DEVELOPER INTERN

As a Software Developer Intern on the R&D team in our Budapest Office, you’ll play a vital role in building the infrastructure that powers global recommendations. You will develop and maintain high-scale systems, from internal monitoring tools to customer-facing dashboards. You’ll work directly with a modern tech stack to solve complex engineering challenges and ensure our products remain robust and scalable for millions of users.

To thrive in this role, you'll need:

• Proficiency in Java or Python.
• Foundational knowledge of SQL.
• Technical level of English language proficiency.
• A proactive approach to learning and adopting new technologies.
• Current enrollment in or recent completion of a Computer Science degree (or equivalent).

Bonus points if you have:

• Interest in artificial intelligence and recommendation systems.
• Experience with big data tools like Spark, Kafka, or Hadoop.

How you’ll make an impact:

• Developing and optimizing high-performance recommendation systems.
• Building internal and external dashboards to visualize complex data.

FRONT-END DEVELOPER INTERN

As a Front-end Developer Intern on the R&D team in our Budapest Office, you’ll play a vital role in crafting the interfaces that bridge our data with our users. You will build interactive, data-rich web applications and editors that make complex information intuitive. Your work will directly impact how internal teams and global clients interact with Taboola’s powerful discovery engine.

To thrive in this role, you'll need:

• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Foundational knowledge of SQL.
• Communicative level of English.
• Practical experience or coursework in modern web development.
• A strong drive to learn new frameworks and UI principles.

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience with React, Vue3, or Angular.
• Interest in UI/UX design and AI-driven interfaces.

How you’ll make an impact:

• Developing web applications that display real-time statistics and analytics.
• Building interactive data editors and user interfaces for internal tools.
• Integrating third-party solutions, such as payment and authentication systems.

ALGORITHM ENGINEER INTERN

As an Algorithm Engineer Intern on the R&D team in our Budapest Office, you’ll play a vital role in optimizing the "brain" behind our discovery platform. You will dive deep into customer data to fine-tune recommendation algorithms and improve system accuracy. Your mathematical insights will directly translate into better user experiences and more efficient content delivery across the web.

To thrive in this role, you'll need:

• Strong mathematical foundations, specifically in matrix algebra and probability theory.
• Knowledge of data mining and machine learning principles.
• Proficiency in Java and/or Python.
• Foundational knowledge of SQL.
• Technical level of English language proficiency.

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience with scalable algorithms and neural networks.
• Proficiency with Jupyter Notebooks and recommendation system logic.

How you’ll make an impact:

• Analyzing large-scale customer data sets to identify patterns and insights.
• Fine-tuning and optimizing the core logic of our recommendation systems.
• Testing and validating new algorithms to improve predictive accuracy.
• Presenting data analysis results and preparing detailed technical reports.
• Collaborating with senior engineers to implement scalable data solutions.
