About the role

We’re looking for a Software Engineer in Test to join us here at Snappi. Not just any Software Engineer in Test though. Someone ambitious and genuine, who works best in the midst of a collaborative and forward-thinking team.

What you ’ll be doing

As a Software Engineer in Test (SET) at Snappi, you'll be the guardian of quality, ensuring that our products are not only functional but also exceptional. You'll work closely with our development and product teams to design, develop, and execute automated tests that keep our software running smoothly. Your keen eye for detail and knack for breaking things will help us catch bugs before they reach our users.

Our QA team is passionate about Test Automation and DevOps, as we are the main organisers for Athens SDET Olympians Meetup(515 members) and Grafana and Friends Athens Meetup(116 members) to give you a hint that we are passionate about empowering the communities!

Key responsibilities

• Working within a team of engineers and product managers.
• Develop new test suites and tools for our digital products, enhancing the overall QA pipeline in Azure DevOps.
• Identify, share, and nurture the adoption of best practices in code health, testing, testability, and maintainability in collaboration with the wider Quality department. You should champion clean code and the concept of the test pyramid.
• Strive for the fastest feedback possible. Test parallelization should be a top priority. You see distributed systems as a core challenge of good test automation infrastructure.
• Configure automated tests to execute reliably and efficiently in CI/CD environments

Requirements

We’re looking for a passionate SDET engineer who would help us tackle some of our most important challenges! The ideal candidate will have the following qualities:

• Strong knowledge of UI Test Automation Frameworks(preferred in WebdriverIO, Appium)
• Experience in testing both backend APIs and frontend mobile applications
• Experience in Azure DevOps is a plus
• Testing Pyramid Ambassador!
• Excellent interpersonal, listening, negotiation, presentation skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Passionate about agile software processes, data driven development, reliability, and experimentation and experience working in a collaborative Agile product team will be considered as extra assets.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Typescript
• Knowledge of Performance Testing Tools (e.g Grafana k6, Gatling)
• Experience with Monitoring Platforms (e.g Grafana, Prometheus, InfluxDB, Dynatrace)
• Banking Experience will be considered as an asset
• Team player that can also work independently
• Excellent command of written and spoken English
