AtSimCorp, we support some of the largest financial institutions in the world to be successful by simplifying their investments,accountingand operations.
Accounting is a product unit withinSimCorp’sProduct Division which delivers all rules and calculation methodsin order toprovide our clients with a legally binding subledger for all supported asset classes.
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Develop andmaintainfeatures in theAccountingproduct areas
Contribute across the entire development lifecycle - from requirements analysis and design to implementation, test automation, documentation, and ongoing support.
Collaborate closely with teammates,productmanagers, andarchitects to deliver high-quality and secure solutions.
Uphold engineering best practices and contribute to continuous improvement.
Learn deeply about ourAccountingdomain and understand how our products support customer outcomes.
Be open to feedback, mentorship, and knowledge sharing in your team.
YOUR SKILLS
Most importantly, we are looking for someone who sees themselves contributing and thriving in this role. We believe that nobody starts a new role as an expert, but we do expect you to have a solid foundation in several of the following areas and a strong willingness to learn the rest.
2+ years of experience in software engineering.
Confidentinsoftware engineering fundamentals, including algorithms and data structures.
Proficiencyin at least one object-oriented or functional programming language (C# isa benefit).
Familiarity with modern engineering tools and practices, including CI/CD and trunk-based development.
Experience working with relational databases and SQL.
Curiosity and willingness to learn in-house tools and frameworks, including the APL programming language.
Readiness to work in a complex accounting domain, dealing with financial and investment-related instruments.
Good English skills (upper-intermediate or higher), both written and spoken.
Experience with cloud technologiesandfintechdomainis a plus.
