The Google Cloud Storage (GCS) team provides planet-scale object storage solutions for both Google's cloud customers with GCS and internal products with Blobstore. Blobstore is the core storage platform for multiple Google products and is one of the largest distributed systems in the world. Our team is responsible for building and managing the core metadata infrastructure for Blobstore – a planet-scale distributed storage system that handles over 100 trillion objects and several million QPS.
