We are thrilled to announce a great opportunity to join our international AI organization inside the English Language Learning division as a Software Engineering Manager to lead one of the most critical products in the company.

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver software and data services projects using modern technologies
• Develop across front and back end using Laravel (PHP framework)
• Design and implement MySQL database structures
• Produce technical specifications from requirements
• Work in an Agile environment (estimation, sprint delivery)
• Participate in peer code reviews
• Deliver complex digital projects to tight deadlines
• Collaborate with global engineering teams
• Contribute to architecture discussions and system design
• Build cloud-based solutions (AWS)
• Write high-quality, maintainable code aligned to modern standards

Essential:

• Strong PHP (Laravel) and MySQL experience
• Understanding of cloud architecture (AWS)
• Experience with caching, queues, and system design components
• Familiarity with Docker
• Experience delivering end-to-end development projects
• Exposure to Agile methodologies
• Strong communication skills (clear English required)

Desirable:

• JavaScript frameworks (especially Vue.js)
• UI design knowledge
• Experience with high-traffic, scalable systems
• Background in education/assessment sector
• Experience working on legacy systems and within international organisations
• Computer Science degree
