Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop test design, protocol and execute, and maintain test cases using established testing frameworks and tools to support efficient and repeatable testing activities.
  • Create and execute automated test cases based on defined software and system requirements, ensuring accurate documentation and traceability of test results.
  • Support test automation activities by contributing to test scope, schedules, and execution plans under guidance from senior team members.
  • Analyze test results, identify defects, and support debugging and root‑cause analysis in collaboration with development and verification teams.
  • Follow Philips quality, development, and regulatory processes to ensure compliance and high product quality.
  • Communicate test progress, issues, and risks to the team in a timely and transparent manner, escalating when needed.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to support project delivery and continuous quality improvement.
  • Apply basic development, testing, and debugging skills to improve test coverage and defect detection effectiveness.
  • Actively learn and apply new testing concepts, tools, and emerging practices (e.g., test automation enhancements, model‑based or AI‑assisted testing) relevant to the role.

Minimum required Education:

Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.)/ Master of technology/MCA or an equivalent accredited engineering degree.

Minimum required Experience:

Minimum 3+ years of experience with Vocational Education in System Architecture, System Design, Hardware Engineering or equivalent OR no prior experience with Bachelor's Degree.

Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP)/ISTQB

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in Verification and Validation Testing within complex, system‑level software environments.
  • Strong understanding of quality specifications, regulatory requirements, and compliance‑driven development processes.
  • Proficiency in requirements analysis, troubleshooting, and systematic defect investigation.
  • Knowledge of systems architecture, systems integration, and System Integration Testing (SIT).
  • Hands‑on experience with software test automation, including awareness of the latest trends and best practices in test automation.
  • Practical experience with tools and technologies such as Git, Artifactory, ADS, C#, and SpecFlow.
  • Experience working with server‑based and distributed applications.
  • Exposure to setting up and maintaining test automation infrastructure is an advantage.
  • Demonstrates a strong quality mindset, continuous improvement attitude, and leads by example.
  • Effective communication and documentation skills, with experience collaborating in global, multi‑cultural teams.
  • Understanding or experience in the healthcare domain, including interoperability standards, is a plus.
  • Familiarity with SAFe / Agile ways of working is an advantage.

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.

Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.

Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
