The Software Engineer II performs analysis, design, development, testing, and support for applications that enable ODW Logistics’ warehouse and supply chain operations. This role is focused on enhancing, maintaining, and integrating systems within the warehouse technology environment, with a strong preference for experience supporting Infios WMS, including warehouse workflows, system configuration, integrations, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Functions

Designs, codes, tests, and supports application enhancements for warehouse management and supply chain systems, including Infios WMS where applicable.

Maintains and modifies existing applications under direction from senior staff members, with emphasis on warehouse system functionality, operational support, and user-facing issue resolution.

Performs maintenance programming, configuration support, and custom development related to warehouse processes such as receiving, putaway, inventory management, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, and reporting.

Follows best practices for application architecture, system configuration, integration design, and scalable support of warehouse operations.

Participates in defining and implementing technical direction for warehouse technology solutions, including Infios WMS enhancements, integrations, and process improvements.

Contributes to the selection, implementation, and optimization of technical architecture for assigned warehouse systems projects.

Performs or reviews system analysis, design, programming, testing, debugging, and documentation for assigned projects, with attention to operational impact in a distribution or 3PL environment.

Works with operations, support, and documentation teams to provide technical guidance, user training, and process documentation for new systems and major system enhancements.

Participates in process improvement and acts as a catalyst for change.

Effectively works with peers, team members, and other departments.

Participates on project teams for assigned system projects; analyzes warehouse process improvements, develops requirements, and partners with business users to translate operational needs into technical specifications.

Helps develop specification, program, and documentation standards.

Provides support for warehouse management applications, integrations, data flows, and related systems used by distribution operations.

Acts as a technical contributor on projects and independently drives issue resolution for warehouse system defects, enhancement requests, and production support needs.

Contributes to the success of projects by applying demonstrated knowledge.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree preferably in Computer Science or related program, or appropriate experience.

5+ years’ experience with application development, system support, or technical configuration within warehouse management, supply chain, logistics, or distribution environments.

Experience with Infios WMS strongly preferred, including support for warehouse workflows, system configuration, integrations, troubleshooting, reporting, and operational enhancements.

Experience providing direction and mentorship to other engineers.

Experience working with business users to gather requirements, document processes, test system changes, and support production issue resolution.

Skills and Background

Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear guidance for operational users.

Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, customer support, and warehouse leadership.

Working knowledge of warehouse processes such as inbound receiving, inventory control, cycle counting, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, labor support, and exception handling.
