As a Software Engineer II you will:

  • Utilize your expertise in low-level programming as we advance the state of the art in high performance computing and electronic trading
  • Provide the necessary guidance and hands-on delivery of the design, development, and debugging of C applications that run on multi-core Linux systems to process large amounts of high-throughput, low-latency network data
  • Be a key contributor to our process and team culture, continually iterating on how we build products, not just on what we build
  • Collaborate directly with customers that are using the products that you develop

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • MS/BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years of relevant DevOps, platform engineering, or infrastructure engineering experience
  • Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes — cluster management, node provisioning, networking, and multi-environment operations
  • Experience with containerization technologies including Docker and Docker Compose
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code practices and tooling
  • Strong scripting skills in Python and/or shell for automation and operational tooling
  • Experience building ormaintaininginternal developer tooling or simulation/testing platforms
  • Experience with Helm charts for packaging and deploying applications to Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with observability stacks — particularly Grafana and Loki for metrics, logging, and alerting
  • Working knowledge of object storage systems such as S3 and relational or NoSQL databases
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitLab
  • Demonstrated ability to work through complex infrastructure challenges and drive them to resolution
  • Comfortable being onsite in Needham, MA 5 days a week

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Experience with Node.js / Express and TypeScript in a DevOps or platform context
  • Familiarity with financial markets or trading systems infrastructure
  • Experience building ormaintaininginternal developer tooling or simulation/testing platforms
  • Knowledge of network fundamentals relevant to Kubernetes (CNI, load balancers, ingress controllers, service meshes)

Compensation: In compliance with Massachusetts law, the anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $ $115,000 to $151,800. Please note that this range represents the expected base salary for this role at the time of posting. The final offer may vary based on factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. This range does not include other forms of compensation such as potential bonuses, equity, or benefits.
