Mastercam seeks a Software Engineer II (Desktop to Cloud Integration & SDK Connectivity) who is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-enabled services and integration capabilities that extend and enhance the Mastercam platform. Working within a large-scale commercial codebase, this role applies modern software engineering practices and technologies to solve complex technical challenges while supporting Mastercam's desktop-to-cloud evolution.
As Mastercam continues to expand its hybrid desktop and cloud architecture, this position plays a key role in developing cloud services, enabling reliable communication between desktop and web-based systems, and extending SDK and API capabilities to support modern integration scenarios. The role requires collaboration across engineering teams to establish scalable integration patterns, improve interoperability, and ensure a seamless user and developer experience.
The Software Engineer II proactively owns complex technical initiatives, contributes to the design and implementation of large-scale projects, and provides expertise within the team's domain. This position supports Mastercam's global developer ecosystem and helps maintain the company's leadership in CAD/CAM, API, SDK, and extensibility technologies.
This role will focus on integrating an acquired company (to be acquired) to Mastercam per Sandvik's and Mastercam's program and processes - from a compliance and financial controls perspective.
As the integration work will go down over time, the role is expected to take broader BA wide responsibilities e.g. under the common Sandvik compliance program (and also locally for the Hub and our other local business).
