    Software Engineer with 4–6 years of experience in designing and developing scalable microservices-based applications using Java, Spring Boot, and cloud technologies, working within Agile teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

    our responsibility to help promote sound engineering practices and to work alongside team members to architect, design, and implement those solutions. Our team uses Git to manage most of the source code, and SonarQube to help monitor code quality. Jira and Confluence are used heavily for task management and documentation.

  • Holds proficient experiences leading activities associated with Architectural Governance, Risk Management or Compliance processes.
  • Understands how & where third party products could be appropriate, knowledge of technology purchasing processes & best practise.
  • Be a technical software engineer both within your team and outside, coaching and/or mentoring other engineers as appropriate/ as required.
  • Work with the engineering leads to achieve the vision and customer outcomes for your Labs, through defining a strategy and designing solutions to deliver our target cloud architecture.
  • Strong technical skills with a good hands-on and working knowledge of microservice design patterns, containerised applications, infrastructure as code in containerised environments, embedding Dev Sec Ops principles to support delivery at scale and designing solutions at scale.

  • Required Skills:
  • You will have skillsets to cover below as a minimum.

  • Experienced in building and deploying microservices with strong debugging experience in Core Java, J2ee, Spring Boot, Spring Boot Reactive programming, REST APIs, RDBMS and/ or No-SQL Databases.
  • Strong programming skills with a good working knowledge of modern JavaScript libraries and tooling, such as ReactJS, Redux, Webpack and modern toolsets like test automation, Kubernetes and Jenkins
  • Experience of microservice and micro front-end design, container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, Helm)
  • Exposure to cloud technologies preferably GCP and building and deploying microservices on the cloud.
  • Skilled in one or more programming language(s) including Java, API, Spring boot and Reactive programming using Sprint Boot.
  • Expertise in tools such as Dynatrace, CI/CD, cloud deployment, Curl, and Postman.
  • Work with the DevOps tools team to develop for microservices deployment with CICD pipelines.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and Docker frameworks.
  • Experience with Releases and deployments to production, troubleshooting in production.
  • Experience with messaging and integration frameworks like JMS, MQ, and Kafka.
  • Ability to initiate and implement ideas to solve business problems.
  • Ability to multi-task and also work independently to meet the committed deadlines.
  • Analyses specified problems and issues to find the best technical and/or professional solutions. Experience with cloud technologies Google Cloud platform (GCP) or others (AWS, Azure)
  • A passion for delivering business value through sound engineering methods and principles
    • Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in design, development and architecting complex software solutions.
  • 4+ years of experience working as a hands-on software developer end-to-end solution.
  • 4+ year of experience in designing and developing micro-front end and microservices.
  • 2+ years of experience working in large financial services; preferably banking industry
  • 1+ years of experience with Google Cloud/ Azure Cloud/ AWS (or comparable CSP)
    • Tech Stack:
  • Primary Skills: Java, J2ee, Spring Boot, Spring Boot Reactive programming, Microservices, REST & SOAP APIs, RDBMS and/ or No-SQL Databases, ReactJS, Redux, Webpack, Cloud Experience and Kafka.
  • Secondary Skills: Kubernetes, Docker, GKE/ Cloud Run, prior GCP experience, CI/ CD pipelines, Dynatrace/ AppDynamics, Splunk/ Google Cloud Logging, Unix/ Linux.
