Join our Edge & Application networking Automation team!

Our team builds automation frameworks, efficiency improvement tools and complex automation libraries using Python and AI/LLMs. These solutions support Akamai Delivery, Web, Origin Services and Edge Computing teams. We develop automation infrastructure for product testing and collaborate with Engineering teams. We are knowledgeable about Akamai products and focus on developing automation frameworks that empower the Product development and testing teams.

Ensure world class Delivery performance

You will be tasked with solving critical software automation and verification problems in a distributed systems environment. Working with developers and QA teams you will become an expert in system-wide automation infrastructure. You will ensure the exceptional performance of the products used to deliver the world's largest OTT events.

As a Software Engineer II, you will be responsible for:

• Designing, developing and enhancing the automation frameworks used by the Product testing and development teams
• Collaborating closely with Product stakeholders in creating the automation infrastructure to replicate real world scenarios
• Reviewing product & system design requirements to come up with efficient automation frameworks or libraries
• Evangelising the automation frameworks and tools across Akamai
• Working on multiple projects in parallel & ramp-up on AI technologies

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• 2+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or its equivalent.
• Have demonstrated experience in developing full stack applications in Python, JavaScript and Django (must have)
• Have exposure to Container technologies like Dockers and Kubernetes
• Have good understanding of SDLC, contemporary QA/test principles, methodologies, techniques with regards to white box testing and test automation
• Have experience using GIT and/or Perforce for version control
• Be passionate about solving large scale distributed systems problems using AI/LLM, Data Structures and complex Algorithms
