Product Overview:

Outseer Fraud Manager is an advanced, omnichannel fraud detection hub that provides risk-based, multi-factor authentication for organizations seeking to protect their consumers from fraud across digital channels. Powered by the AI/ML based Risk Engine, Outseer Fraud Manager is designed to measure the risk associated with a user’s login and post-login activities by evaluating a variety of risk indicators. Using powerful machine learning and fine-grained policy controls, this anti-fraud hub only requires additional assurance, such as out-of-band authentication and transaction signing, for scenarios that are elevated risk and/or violate rules established by an organization. This methodology provides transparent authentication for most of the users, ensuring a frictionless end user experience and high fraud detection rates.

What you’ll achieve:

Our Software Engineer works as a member of the Fraud Manager R&D team, focusing on developing new features and supporting existing customers. As a Software Engineer, own and contribute to the products that help the customers to get fraudulent information from thousands of sources including dark web. You will work on these products to help the analysts do be effective in their activities by automating mundane tasks. You will bring the right engineering capabilities to the existing Bangalore team to make it more cohesive and effective.

Essential Duties

• Participates in design development, coding, testing, and debugging new software or significant enhancements to existing business applications.
• Works with technical staff to understand problems with software and develops specifications to resolve them.
• Independently resolves customer complaints and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements, also contributes in hotfix release management.
• Participates in the development of software user manuals. May act as a team leader on less complex projects.
• Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
• Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments.
• Coordinate and communicate with global product management, program management, QA and technical support at various stages of product development.
• Primarily responsible for creation of Proof of Concept/Functional Prototype
• Understand Business requirements and convert them into technical requirement.
• Analyze, design, and develop web applications with good code quality aspects.
• Effective and proactive communication across the global team.
• Perform active measures to ensure products functions as intended.
• Develop and test proof of concepts using various tools and frameworks.
• Own work assignments end-to-end building out capabilities and features for product needs.

Desired Requirements / Hands-on Experience

• BE/BTech/MCA/Equivalent degree in Computer Science or a related technical field from an accredited university or college with 3 + years demonstrated experience and successful track record in designing, and developing desktop/ Web based applications
• 3+ years hands on experience with Java
• Spring and Hibernate
• Linux environment
• Experience with modern source control tools (Git, GitHub)
• SQL or Oracle
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes (Jenkins)
• Independent learning skills & troubleshooting abilities.
• Develop Best Practices for Database Design and development activities.
• Refactoring and re-engineering of existing code base for better output
• Knowledge of Design Patterns & SOA
• Well versed with Software Development Life Cycle and Agile / SAFE Software Development
• Responsible for POC as required.
