Are you a Software Engineer with a passion for the Cloud base Solutions? The Gladiator Network Service team is looking for a Software Engineer to join our hosted solutions group. Gladiator is known for providing all of their Jack Henry branded clients with top tier network, system and cloud technologies as well as an excellent customer experience.

We are looking for individuals who are self-motivated and love to work closely with our clients and develop strong relationships with their team members. Travel is up to 5% attend additional training and or a conference. You will work with a team of 8 Engineers within our Software Application & Management group (SAM). You will need to be able to provide technical mentorship to ensure team collaboration and the ability to enhance over all team technical aptitude. The technical environment you will support is Windows Server based: utilize VMware / Cloud Solutions / Network Storage and Backup Solutions. You will fulfill customer requests via our infrastructure as a Services (IaaS) deliverable to all external Jack Henry customers remotely; utilizing VPN and or Cloud based technologies. You must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills as you will provide solutions to our customers via email and or phone.

This position may be worked remotely within the United States, with the exception of California.

The salary range for this position is $57,450 - $75,000 and will be determined based on location and experience level.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Develop, test, and maintain software applications using C#, .NET, and Blazor.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-quality software solutions.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of containerized applications using Docker, including building, testing, and deploying container images.
  • Support application deployments, monitoring, and troubleshooting within Kubernetes-based environments.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipeline development and automation using Azure DevOps.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code while adhering to established coding standards and secure software development practices.
  • Participate in code reviews and collaborate with team members to improve software quality, performance, and maintainability.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application defects and production issues in a timely manner.
  • Support the integration of applications with cloud services, APIs, databases, and other enterprise systems.
  • Continuously develop technical knowledge and apply modern software engineering practices, including microservices, containerization, cloud-native development, and DevOps methodologies.
  • May perform other job duties as assigned.

What you’ll need to have:

  • 1 year of experience within an engineering role or Specialized engineering training, such as an apprenticeship, internship or learning co-op, and some experience.
  • Knowledge of C#, .NET / ASP.NET Core, SQL and relational databases, REST APIs.

What would be nice for you to have:

  • Learning to use professional concepts. Works on projects of limited scope and complexity. Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations from which answers can be readily obtained.

Basic knowledge in the following areas:

  • Technical knowledge in software development methodologies.
  • Application domain and industry knowledge.
  • All phases of the development cycle including concept, technical design, prototype, code development, testing, release to QA and implementation.
  • Awareness of business issues as they impact overall project plans.
  • Understanding of Software design and implementation.
  • Research, analysis and problem resolution skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Ability to undertake and prioritize multiple tasks and respond to changing requirements.
  • Ability and desire to increase knowledge of JHA products and services.
