Location: Arlington, VA (Hybrid)
Clearance: Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain DHS suitability clearance, as required by federal contract.
The Software Engineer will support DHS CISA by designing, developing, and maintaining secure applications that enable mission-critical operations and modernization. This role contributes to Agile and DevSecOps environments to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain software using Java, Python, C++, or C#.
Apply secure coding practices and implement automated testing frameworks.
Participate in Agile sprints and CI/CD pipelines within DevSecOps environments.
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance.
Collaborate with system architects, developers, and analysts to align solutions with mission requirements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS GovCloud, Azure Gov) and CI/CD pipelines.
Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
