Job Title –Associate Software Engineer/ Software Engineer - Full Stack Software Engineer

Grade – 3/4

Business Intelligence & Decision Support (BIDS) team is looking for a highly motivated Associate Software Engineer/Software Engineer with strong understanding of programming fundamentals, BI design, and development practices. In this role, you will be an integral part of a business intelligence team, with an objective of enabling Business Intelligence capabilities for Sales and Relationship management team with creation of impactful data driven business solutions.

The Purpose of This Role

We are looking for a Software Engineer proficient in application development and data engineering flows for reporting and analytical solutions that enable data-driven decision-making. The role involves designing, developing, enhancing, maintaining, and supporting applications, reports and dashboards using .NET/JAVA/ANGULAR, SQL and Power BI, while ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Responsible for delivering data-driven insights by using MSBI stack, established processes to support business objectives and decision-making.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and continuously improve capabilities through automation and process optimization.

The Skills that are Key to this role

Technical / Behavioral

• Experience with integrating front-end UI with back-end services & API’s, transaction management, error handling.
• Demonstrable proficiency in SQL and SSIS.
• Providing technical and analytical expertise while responding to specialized requests requiring higher-level data analysis and data management services.
• Demonstrable expertise in all aspects of data movement technologies (ETL/ELT) and experience with schedulers using standard processes.
• Working with different data sources (including Oracle databases, API services, external files/spreadsheets, Snowflake etc.) for data preparation and data blending for PowerBI.
• Own and deliver across the reporting life cycle, from requirements capture, data visualization, data extraction, collation, and modelling to report production.
• Creating & developing PowerBI Data Visualization reports for KPIs using action filters, parameters, and calculations.
• Analytical thinking for translating data into informative reports and visuals.
• Demonstrable proficiency in optimizing SQL and ETL performance, and implementing robust data quality, validation, and cleansing.
• Able to perform tasks effectively with only occasional use of guides, research, and mentorship.
• Attention to detail to spot inaccuracies in coding or data.
• Self-motivated and take initiative to find solutions and improvements to systems during prototyping and customer testing phases.

The Skills that are Good To Have for this role

• Knowledge of DAX in PowerBI
• Proficiency in Snowflake

This group provides services across the life-cycle of reporting with a high focus on developing business, data and technology excellence.

The Expertise We’re Looking For

• MCA/ M.Tech/B.Tech. Or equivalent degree in Engineering / Computer Science or Technology.
• 3 - 6 Years of relevant experience.
• 1+ years of experience in PowerBI/Data Visualization
• 1+ years of experience in Java/.NET/Angular
• 2+ years of experience in Data engineering
