SOFTWARE ENGINEER FOR DEPENDABLE SYSTEMS (F/M/X)

In this role you are part of the Dependable Systems team for TAS Platform. This platform is a safety critical real-time hard- and software platform for the railway domain certified for the highest safety integrity level. It consists of the operating system, security services, a safe middleware providing fault tolerance and safe communication, and hardware components.

The Dependable Systems team focuses on the evolution and development of the safe middleware of TAS Platform and the evaluation of new technologies.

YOUR CHALLENGE

  • Software development with the focus on safety, real-time and security in the railway domain

  • Design and implementation for distributed systems and related protocols

  • Analyzing of complex systems

  • Participating in technical architecture and design workshops

  • Writing design papers

  • Development, integration and verification of our technical functions and solutions

  • Work in distributed teams

  • Work in an agile team with standardized processes (quality, safety, security)

YOUR PROFILE

  • A completed education (HTL, FH, University) in Informatics, Electrical Engineering or similar

  • Experienced knowledge in C, knowledge in C++ is beneficial

  • Knowledge in embedded real-time systems used for safety and security related applications

  • Good knowledge of LINUX OS and development environment

  • Understanding of distributed consensus protocols and virtualized systems

  • Knowledge of git

  • Good communication skills for working in distributed teams

  • Thinking analytically is a strength

  • Fluency in English language, fluency in German is beneficial

  • Working in a team using agile methods

  • The salary for this position starts at € 50.000 gross p.a. Actual compensation is based on experience and qualification.
