About the job:

This role sits within our Core Banking Platform team and follows a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) model.

• Develop monitoring, alerting and health-check automation for Linux and Oracle environments
• Build automation and tooling in shell (Bash/ksh)
• Write PL/SQL and operational scripts to support batch processing and data flows
• Support and maintain Avaloq applications running on Linux platforms.
• Monitor system performance, conduct health checks, and provide operational support.
• Investigate incidents, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate resolutions with stakeholders.
• Participate in the end-to-end project lifecycle, including implementation and post-production support.
• Collaborate with team members on project delivery and operational activities.
• Contribute to automation, tooling, and continuous process improvement.
• Deliver high-quality outcomes while ensuring timely completion of project milestones.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
• Knowledge of shell scripting (Bash and/or Korn Shell).
• Basic experience with Oracle Database and SQL*Plus.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, SSL/TLS).
• Familiarity with OpenShift and/or Kubernetes environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a disciplined approach to operational processes.
• Fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, or RMAN.
• Exposure to Ansible, Git, and CI/CD tools.
• Windows Server administration experience.
• Background in banking, financial services, or core banking operations.
• Familiarity with Avaloq Core Banking System (certification is an advantage).
