Job Description

We are looking for a Software Engineer (C#/.NET) for the Process Automation Software department at Sartorius Stedim Systems GmbH. In this role, the position contributes to the development of high-quality software products by combining strong engineering expertise with modern technologies and AI-supported development approaches.

This position is available for full-time. It is a hybrid role requiring some days on site at our site in Guxhagen with the opportunity to work some days remotely.

• Gather, analyze, and define requirements for complex software functionalities in close collaboration with product management, customer feedback, and internal development teams
• Design, prototype, and develop sustainable software systems while actively participating in architecture and design reviews
• Implement maintainable, high-quality, and performance-optimized code using technologies such as C#, .NET, C/C++, and related frameworks
• Contribute to the further development of software components, tools, and services on the software platform
• Support technical teams and continuously improve development processes, including CI/CD processes and AI-assisted development practices

What will convince us

• Successfully completed degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable field
• In addition, several years of proven hands-on experience in commercial software product development
• Strong programming skills in .NET / C#, as well as experience with WPF and React
• Experience with modern software development processes, the software lifecycle, and tools such as version control, CI/CD, and testing frameworks
• Knowledge of relevant technologies such as Windows Forms, databases (SQL), as well as hardware interfaces or performance optimization
• Ideally, experience with AI-assisted development tools and their application across the entire development lifecycle
• Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented way of working combined with strong teamwork and communication skills
• Very good German and English language skills round off your profile
