We are looking for a Software Engineer with expertise in developing and integrating runtime machine learning solutions to join our team. You will report to a Leader of Engine Development and collaborate with game teams, central technology engineers, and researchers to bring ML models into the hands of our players by deploying them directly within EA games.
Responsibilities:
Evaluate, adapt, extend, and improve existing machine learning runtime technologies, while designing and implementing new solutions from the ground up when needed.
Partner with ML experts across EA to assess, apply, and scale models and architectures for on-device performance.
Translate ML concepts, tradeoffs, risks, and technical constraints into clear language for different audiences.
Build end-to-end solutions for running machine learning models across a variety of devices.
Write clean, well-documented, and well-tested code that integrates smoothly with existing systems.
Stay current with advancements in Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning, Generative AI, and related fields by exploring industry developments, identifying relevant research, and proposing ways to apply it.
Contribute to Frostbite's and EA's ML/AI communities by sharing knowledge, collaborating with partners, and mentoring teammates.
Qualifications:
5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with C++, including a understanding of multithreading and performance optimization.
Experience profiling and optimising real-time software.
Practical experience with software engineering fundamentals, including version control, code reviews, documentation, automated testing, coding standards, CI/CD, issue tracking, and Agile development.
Knowledge of ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
Experience building and shipping end-to-end ML systems in real-world production environments.
A BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent professional experience.
Knowledge of GPU programming.
Experience with game programming.
Knowledge of ONNX or other intermediate representations for ML model graphs..
