How you succeed
The Core Banking Development Tech Lead is responsible for leading the development and delivery of Wealth Core Banking and back-office technology solutions within the bank's transformation program. The role provides technical leadership across analysis, design, development, integration, and testing activities for Temenos T24 Transact including trade processing, settlements, accounting, and operational workflows. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of delivering complex banking technology solutions, driving development best practices and leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced financial services environment.
What you do
- Responsible for the development planning and delivery of technology development book of work and system integration for Wealth Core Banking.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Business Analysts and Test Managers to ensure the efficient execution of system integration testing and to proactively identify, analyze and address defects. Beyond conducting unit testing, this role supports all phases of the testing lifecycle, including System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring timely defect resolution and adherence to technology development standards, governance requirements and quality assurance best practices.
- Partner with Technology Infrastructure and Application teams to ensure that systems are designed, tested, and implemented to minimize operational risk.
- Ensure application data is effectively structured, governed and utilized to support business objectives while maintaining appropriate controls, integrity, and compliance requirements.
- Provide technical leadership, support and subject matter expertise throughout the project lifecycle, including project delivery, change requests, production releases and Level 3 application support.
- Identify, define and coordinate development activities for projects and change requests, including the delivery of new functionality, system integrations, interfaces with external applications, data migration and conversion programs.
- Mentor and support junior team members by providing technical guidance, knowledge sharing, training, and best-practice recommendations to foster team capability and development.
Who you are
- Degree in an IT related discipline
- Strong financial technology background, preferably within Wealth Management, Investment Management, Asset Management, or Investment Banking with extensive software development experience, including previous hands-on developer roles and a track record of successfully integrating and implementing vendor-provided solutions.
- Minimum 10 years hands-on experience in a Temenos Transact TAFJ environment as a technical consultant or lead role.
- Solid experience in Temenos Transact design and L3 development with exposure in Temenos Transact product development and Implementation of Transact products i.e. AA, Payments, FX, SC, CA, DX/SY.
- In-depth knowledge of Temenos Transact customizations. Thorough understanding of T24 application and all system administration tasks involved in maintaining a T24 environment.
- Hands on in Temenos Transact modules, Subroutine coding, Version, Enquiries, COB, Version Routines, Enquiry Routines, Multi Thread Routines, Composite Screen, Templates for Local developments. This should include knowledge of OFS, IF, IRIS, TAFJ and OFXML.
- Strong knowledge in Temenos Transact Java API, JBoss, TDH, Outbox will be an added advantage.
- Familiar with DevOps process and Tools i.e. Design Studio, Soap UI, bitbucket, JIRA, Confluence
- Excellent oral and written communication in English
