• Develop multi-robot autonomy algorithms capable of safely executing missions across diverse UxS platforms
• Define inter-robot and Command & Control communication protocols enabling tactical swarm decision-making at the edge
• Build and maintain the core onboard software platform supporting first- and third-party sensors, payloads, and modular software components
• Create and validate high-fidelity, physically realistic UxS simulations
• Train, tune, and test automatic target recognition and track management systems using modern neural network techniques
• Perform electronics prototyping and troubleshoot complex mixed hardware-software systems
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient systems-level code
• Travel up to 25% for onsite testing and integration events
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field
• 3+ years building soft real-time embedded systems
• Deep expertise in at least one systems language: C/C++, Rust, or Golang
• Proven experience deploying and validating robotics algorithms such as DUBINS PLANNING / SLAM / KALMAN FILTERS / PARTICLE FILTERS / A* / BEHAVIOR TREES / REINFORCEMENT LEARNING
• Working knowledge of embedded systems including SPI / I2C / SERIAL PROTOCOLS / MICROCONTROLLERS
• Strong networking fundamentals including NAT / mDNS / UDP / TCP / MULTICAST
• Excellent software engineering practices with emphasis on reliability and testability
• Experience deploying robotics or IoT systems with complex edge processing (aerospace, AV, defense systems, etc.)
• Experience with robotics middleware such as DDS / ROS2 / ZeroMQ / gRPC and serialization formats like Protobuf
• Familiarity with government UxS interoperability standards including OMS / UCI / STANAG 4586 / FACE
• Hands-on electronics experience including breadboarding, soldering, schematic interpretation, and datasheet analysis
• Deep learning experience applied to perception or tracking systems
• Base Salary: $165,000 – $250,000 plus meaningful equity
