Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  
• Experience designing multi-agent systems or complex tool-use (e.g., function calling) patterns.
• Experience with model quantization, context engineering optimization, grounding or efficient information retrieval.
• Experience with SQL, NoSQL, and vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, or Vertex AI Vector Search).
• Familiarity with Android internal architectures, mobile device testing, or hardware-software integration.
• Understanding of the product development lifecycle for mobile devices, with a passion for consumer electronics.

In this role, you will help us build the "Operating System for Testing." You will design and deploy AI-driven tools and infrastructure that scale across the entire Pixel portfolio including phones, watches, earbuds and activity bands.

You'll transform how we validate device software by replacing manual, repetitive workflows with intelligent, autonomous systems. You will serve as the organizational lead for applying AI to internal productivity, building the agents and infrastructure that allow our engineers to focus on high-level design while AI handles the complexity of software feature testing.

Responsibilities

• Build autonomous and semi-autonomous agents to handle complex software development and testing tasks, such as black/white box test generation, bug triaging, root-causing, and quality trend/risk analysis, etc.
• Develop scalable AI-native infrastructure to elevate testing accuracy and efficiency using LLMs and AI models, ensuring low latency and high reliability for global testing teams.
• Create intuitive internal tools, agentic skills and APIs that allow non-AI experts to leverage machine learning for their work.
• Collaborate with Pixel software and hardware teams to integrate AI-driven testing into the existing CI/CD pipelines and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) systems.
