Join nCino’s Intelligence Platform team and play a central role in building the agentic operating system powering the future of banking software. What started as a conversational AI interface has evolved into a full agentic platform. At the center of this transformation, this team has been building the platform that enables agents for both nCino’s internal teams and its partner firms and customers

This is a full-stack engineering role where you’ll design and implement both backend and the UI components for several features and capabilities within the AOS ecosystem. You’ll lead initiatives, partner heavily with the nCino Feature and Design teams and rotate through the full spectrum of technical ownership across the team, from proof-of-concepts and high-level system design through shipping production-grade technology that banks and partner consulting firms will rely on.

Beyond the build, you’ll bring platform thinking to everything you do, helping teams across the organization adopt AI capabilities rather than reinvent them. The AI landscape moves fast and so does this team, so you’ll need the technical depth to participate, lead and the adaptability to pivot when the next capability changes the plan. This role is based on site in Wilmington, NC, where the full Intelligence Platform team works together.

Essential Functions:

  • Support product refinementprocessessuch as the creation of tickets and analysis for development work.

  • Follow architectural decisions made by the team and understand the reasoning behind them.

  • Engage in brainstorming sessions to propose innovative ideas and solutions.

  • Be involved in proof-of-concept implementations and prototypes used to gather feedback and make informed decisions. Consider potential risks that mightimpactthe solution

  • Express themselves clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences in written and verbal formats.

  • Independently analyze, troubleshoot, break down complex tickets, andidentifydependencies across teams and epics.

  • Contributes to CI/CDprocessesincluding Automated Testing and enhancing the testing coverage of their product.

  • Understand adoption and release barriers to entry for the product and technology.

  • Support PM and team in developing a strategic launch and release plan with cross functional teams.

  • Promote cross-team collaboration focused on takingend-to-endsolutions to market and supporting Go-live activities.

  • Analyzethe adoptionofproductsand understand how to improve the customer journey by applying solutions to address new enhancement requests.

  • Play an active role in addressing system hygiene.

  • Mitigate future hygiene issues by consistently producing high-quality code

  • Adhere to coding standards and is up to date with the latest technology trends, best practices.

  • Actively pursues continuous learning through technical training, code review feedback, and exploration of emerging trends.

  • Independently handle complex tickets, actively collaborate with the team to drive continuous improvement.

  • Participate actively incodereview process with attention to code quality, maintainability, and adherence to team standards.

  • Leverage AI tools and techniques to enhance software development activities, including code generation, testing, debugging, and optimization.

  • Apply AI insights toidentifypatterns, automate repetitive tasks, and improve overall development efficiency and product quality.

  • Evaluate and integrate AI/ML capabilities whereappropriate tostrengthen product functionality and user experience.

  • Maintain awareness of emerging AI trends and best practices to inform continuous learning and innovation.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer scienceor a related field with 2+ years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Strongproficiencyin React — hooks,componentarchitecture, state management, and performance optimization.

  • Experience with at least oneprogramming language(e.g., Typescript,Python,etc.)

  • Experience with relational or NoSQL databases and writing queries.

  • Practical experience developing and deploying applications on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), including working with managed services, CDK/SDK, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized environments (Docker basics)

  • Experience with version control systems (Git) and collaboration workflows.

  • Strong problem-solving skills; able to work independently and in teams.

  • Clear written and verbal communication with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Desired:

  • Hands-on experience building and shipping AI-assisted product features, including integrating LLM APIs (e.g., Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, AWS Bedrock) or MLinto production applications.

  • Familiarity with event-driven architecture or message queues (e.g.SQS, Kafka).

  • Experience with design systems; building, consuming, or contributing to sharedcomponentlibraries.

  • Experience consuming and integrating RESTful APIs

  • Collaboration, prioritization, and adaptability skills in a fast-paced, iterative environment.

  • Salesforce Lightning Web Components (LWC) experience

The pay range for this role is based on relative market data and alignment with our compensation philosophy. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum of the pay range for each job posting, which is used to determine new hire rates/salaries and takes into consideration multiple factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, abilities, proficiencies, experience, education, licensures/certifications, as well as business and organizational needs. nCino reserves the right to modify the posted range consistent with our internal practices and external market movement. The recruiter for this job posting can share more compensation details during the recruitment process, as base salary is only one component of the total compensation package per position posted.

The base salary range for this job is:

$93,900.00 - $159,600.00
