Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated Software Engineer with 8–10 years of experience to join the ACM Platform and AML Services team. This role will design and build distributed backend services that power Apple’s fraud prevention platform across multiple lines of business, including Apple Store Online, Apple Media Products, Apple Cash Wallet, AppleCare, and other strategic initiatives.
The engineer will play a key role in delivering system localization and deployment efforts for Apple China. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who enjoys solving complex distributed systems problems, embraces AI-driven development, and is passionate about building scalable cloud-native platforms.
As part of the ACM Platform team, you will design, develop, and operate high-throughput, low-latency distributed services that support more than 1,500 internal users across Apple. You will work closely with engineering, product, fraud analysts, and business partners to build scalable platform capabilities that improve fraud detection and case management.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with public cloud platforms and SaaS architectures.
Strong understanding of CI/CD, deployment automation, and production operations.
Experience designing high-throughput, low-latency APIs and distributed services.
Familiarity with AI concepts, LLM-based development tools, and AI-assisted software engineering.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to independently drive complex technical initiatives.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and bias for execution.
Minimum Qualifications
8–10 years of software engineering experience building large-scale backend systems.
Strong Java development experience with modern JDK versions.
Deep understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, scalability, and fault-tolerant architectures.
Hands-on experience with Kafka, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, Solr, and Cassandra.
Experience building cloud-native applications on Kubernetes.
