Software engineer (80%-100%)
To start work immediately or at a later date by agreement.
We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join our dedicated development team.
Your main tasks
- Develop scalable backend solutions for large-scale data processing
- Engage in the full life-cycle application development, including user requirements, specifications, design, coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and maintenance
- Implement high-quality, reusable, and well-tested software solutions using object-oriented programming languages such as Java
Your ideal profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related discipline, or a completed apprenticeship in computer science with a Swiss Federal Certificate of Competence
- 2–6 years of professional experience in backend development, ideally with a strong focus on Java
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, preferably using Java
- Hands-on experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit
- Strong knowledge of database systems; experience with MongoDB is considered an advantage
- Familiarity with technologies such as Spring Boot, Kafka, and Flink is beneficial
- Experience working with Big Data or large-scale data processing environments is a plus
- A proactive mindset with a sense of ownership, demonstrating initiative in improving systems and optimizing processes.
- Good knowledge of the English language (written and verbal); additional languages are an advantage
- Swiss or EU/EFTA citizen (with a work permit B or C)
