Our client is a World Leading provider of mobility solutions that enable the efficient, safe and environmentally friendly transport of people and goods – and help improve the quality of everyday life for millions of people in Hong Kong, they are currently seeking for Software Engineer to  join their team.

Software Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Participating in the design and creation of scalable software
• Writing clean, functional code on the front- and back-end
• Testing and fixing bugs or other coding issues

Job brief

• They are looking for a Software Engineer to produce scalable software solutions. You’ll be part of a cross-functional team that’s responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment.
• As a Software Engineer, you should be comfortable around both front-end and back-end coding languages, development frameworks and third-party libraries. You should also be a team player with a knack for visual design and utility.
• If you’re also familiar with Agile methodologies, they'’d like to meet you.

Requirements:

• Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions
• Design client-side and server-side architecture
• Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design
• Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications
• Write effective APIs
• Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
• Create security and data protection settings
• Build features and applications with a mobile responsive design
• Write technical documentation
• Work with business analysts to improve software
• 3-5 years’ proven experience as a Software Engineer or relevant role
• Experience developing web and mobile applications
• Familiarity with common stacks
• Knowledge of multiple mobile app/ front-end languages (e.g. Swift, Kotlin, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript)
• Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g. JavaScript, Java)
• Knowledge of multiple frameworks (e.g. Angular.io, React Native, Node.js, Spring, Bootstrap, Material Design)
• Familiarity with databases (e.g. MongoDB, PostgreSQL), including knowledge of SQL and NoSQL, web server (e.g. Nginx) and UI/ UX design
• (PLUS) Experience in AWS, Azure
• (PLUS) Experience in Unity application development
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Great attention to detail
• Organizational skills
• An analytical mind
• Degree in Computer Science, Statistics or relevant field
