Job Description

Overview

What if developers could get the security guarantees of PKI without ever having to think about certificates? As a Software Engineer on the Identity PKI team, you will help make that vision a reality. You will build platforms and experiences that abstract PKI complexity from customers, evolving today’s certificate-centric workflows toward intent-based security experiences where services describe what they need, rather than how to configure and manage certificates.Within the PKI Configuration and Experience team, you will: Build platforms and experiences that abstract certificate and PKI complexity away from application developers and services. Redefine how services consume PKI capabilities, moving from certificate-centric workflows to intent-based experiences, where customers express the security outcome they need and the platform determines how to achieve it securely. Design APIs, abstractions, and configuration models that make the secure path the simplest and default path. Help automate certificate lifecycle concerns so services can focus on their business functionality rather than PKI implementation details. Work on foundational security infrastructure with impact across Microsoft services and customer-facing platforms.
