We’re looking for our next Software Engineer. Could It Be You?

The Software Engineer is responsible for designing, building, testing, and deploying features across the full software development lifecycle. Operating with limited supervision, this role focuses on writing production-grade code that meets standards for readability, performance, security, and observability. The engineer will also participate in code reviews, maintain automated test suites, resolve production issues, and address technical debt

  • Design, build, test, and deploy features across the full software lifecycle with limited supervision.
  • Translate product requirements into sound technical designs, flagging gaps, dependencies, and edge cases early in discovery.
  • Write production-grade code that meets standards for readability, performance, security, and observability.
  • Review peers' code with rigor and care, providing actionable feedback and mentoring junior developers through pairing.
  • Build and maintain automated test suites and contribute to improvements in CI/CD pipelines and deployment practices.
  • Diagnose and resolve production issues within scope, participating in on-call rotations and documenting root causes.
  • Identify and address technical debt, proposing and executing improvements to system reliability and developer experience.

So are YOU our next Software Engineer ? You are if you…

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2+ years of professional experience building and supporting production software.
  • Strong proficiency in C#/.NET, Java, Node.js/TypeScript, Python, or C++.
  • Hands-on experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs within microservices or service-oriented architectures.
  • Practical experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, including basic query performance tuning.
  • Hands-on experience with a major cloud platform (GCP preferred; AWS or Azure considered) and containerized workloads

Preferred Qualifications

  • DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code tooling (Kubernetes, Terraform).
  • Message brokers and event streaming platforms (Kafka, Pub/Sub).
  • Front-end (Angular, React) or mobile framework experience (React Native, Android, iOS).
  • Domain experience in financial services, brokerage, trading, or regulated environments.
  • Knowledge of secure development practices, threat modeling, or DevSecOps

Compensation Information:

  • Base salary range: $80,000- $120,000
  • The final compensation package will be commensurate with the successful candidate's experience, skills, and geographic location (Canada). It includes a comprehensive benefits plan and a competitive incentive (bonus) program for Full-Time Permanent roles.
