About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Platform Automation Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Python development, CI/CD automation, containerized environments, cloud infrastructure, Linux administration, and platform operations.

This role involves ownership and maintenance of build frameworks, automation solutions involving containerized applications, orchestration platforms, monitoring solutions, and cloud-based test environments. The engineer will work across the software development lifecycle to improve application/platform reliability, scalability, automation, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Software Development & Automation

• Design, develop, and maintain Python-based microservices and automation tools.
• Enhance and support platform automation frameworks.
• Develop reusable automation solutions using Python.
• Create and maintain Shell/Bash scripts for installations, upgrades, deployments, and operational tasks.
• Troubleshoot and optimize existing automation implementations.

Build & Release Engineering

• Design, maintain, and optimize complex CI/CD pipelines.
• Support build frameworks and build tooling (e.g., SBT and related build systems).
• Manage build, packaging, artifact generation, and deployment workflows.
• Troubleshoot build failures and pipeline reliability issues.
• Improve build performance and deployment efficiency.

Container & Platform Engineering

• Build and maintain Docker-based applications and tools.
• Design and support containerized deployment architectures.
• Develop and maintain Docker images and container execution environments.
• Troubleshoot container runtime, networking, and performance issues.
• Support custom orchestration platforms and Kubernetes-based deployments.

Infrastructure Automation

• Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks and deployment automation.
• Automate application deployment, environment provisioning, and configuration management.
• Improve infrastructure consistency and deployment repeatability.

Cross-Team Collaboration

• Work closely with Software Development, QA, DevOps, System Engineering, and Operations teams.
• Participate in architecture discussions and platform improvements.
• Drive operational excellence and automation best practices

Experience – 3 to 5 years
