Software Engineer

We are looking for a Java Backend Developer with 3–5 years of experience to design and build scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot The role involves developing robust REST APIs, working with event-driven architectures, and managing data using relational databases like PostgreSQL/MSSQL
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, and microservices architecture, along with hands-on experience in API development, authentication (OAuth/JWT), and CI/CD pipelines Exposure to cloud technologies (AWS), messaging systems (Kafka/SQS), and modern development tools (Git, Postman) is highly preferred.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to code reviews, testing, and deployment processes, and help build secure, high-performance, multi-tenant SaaS applications
A Typical Day in the Life Includes:
- Develop and maintain backend microservices using Java and Spring Boot
- Build and enhance RESTful APIs consumed by the RPA Management UI and external integrations
- Implement event-driven processing using message queues (SQS, SNS)
- Write and optimize database queries, maintain schemas, and work with data access layers (PostgreSQL)
- Integrate with internal platform services (Analytical Search, IDP, GenAI, MCP Server) with guidance from senior engineers
- Ensure tenant isolation and permission-based access control in all services
- Write unit tests and integration tests as part of the development workflow
- Investigate and resolve bugs, including production issues and support escalations
- Participate in code reviews — both reviewing peers and incorporating feedback on your own code
- Document APIs, service interactions, and technical decisions
- Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements and deployment processes
Basic Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of backend development experience with Java (Java 11+)
- Solid working knowledge of Spring Boot (Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Security)
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
- Good understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL) — writing queries, basic schema design, indexing
- Experience with Hibernate / JPA for data access
- Understanding of microservices concepts — service boundaries, API contracts, inter-service communication
- Familiarity with authentication patterns (OAuth 2.0, JWT)
- Comfortable with Git — branching, merging, resolving conflicts
- Experience with event-driven architectures (SQS, Kafka)
- Exposure to search technologies (Elasticsearch, OpenSearch)
- Basic understanding of serverless computing (AWS Lambda)
- Experience with multi-tenant SaaS applications
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar)
- Experience or willingness to learn agentic AI coding platforms (e.g., Amazon Q Developer, GitHub Copilot, Kiro) and integrate them into daily development for code generation, debugging, and test writing
- Comfortable using API testing tools (Postman or similar)
