You will: (responsibilities)
> Own the squad backlog and maintain a clear, prioritised view of the work required to deliver customer, business, platform, risk and operational outcomes.
> Define and communicate the squad product vision, desired outcomes, success measures and value drivers.
> Act as the single voice of value and priority for the squad, making transparent trade-off decisions across new capability, technical debt, risk reduction and run-the-business work.
> Decide what work is undertaken and in what order, ensuring the squad focuses on the right things at the right time.
> Define acceptance criteria at the outcome and intent level, and accept completed work based on the value delivered against intended outcomes.
> Collaborate closely with engineering, architecture, operations, stakeholders and consumers to shape demand, clarify intent and validate delivered value.
> Maintain alignment between squad work and broader product, platform and department goals, escalating priority conflicts where required.
> Support planning conversations by clarifying value, priority and expected outcomes while leaving delivery execution, sprint mechanics and people management with the appropriate squad roles.
You have: (must-have skills)
> Demonstrable experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, Product Manager or similar role in a technology delivery environment.
> Strong ability to define product vision, outcomes, value measures and success criteria for a squad or product area.
> Proven experience owning, shaping and prioritising a backlog across competing stakeholder, risk, technical and operational demands.
> Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate trade-offs, priorities and decisions clearly.
> Ability to translate business, customer or platform needs into clear backlog items, acceptance criteria and outcome-focused requirements.
> Good understanding of agile product delivery, including how Product Owners work with squads while remaining focused on value, priority and acceptance.
> Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to balance delivery value, risk, technical debt and service resilience.
> Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to work across engineering, operations, architecture and senior stakeholders.
