Our dynamic Agile team is at the forefront of developingcutting-edgetechnology for the future of peer review in scientific discovery. We are creating an innovative peer review system to enhance the review process.
About Role:
This position performs moderately difficult research, design, and software development assignments within a specific software functional area or product line.Thesuccessful candidate willhavethe ability to work on individual pieces of work and solve problems, including the design of the program flow of separate pieces of code, effective coding, and unit testing
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, and deploy applications in a cloud-hosted distributed system.
Contribute to architectural discussions and decisions to ensure stability, scalability, and performance.
Identifyand implement improvements to engineering practices and the delivery pipeline to increase quality and speed.
Collaborate with a cross-functional Agile team (engineering, product, QA, DevOps) to deliver positive business outcomes.
Work with business stakeholders to clarify requirements, iterate on feedback, and deliver user-focused solutions in a fast-moving environment.
Requirements:
Demonstrate someproficiencyin most of these technologies; Java, JavaScript / TypeScript tool (React, Angular,etc), SQL with a willingness to learn the others.
Display some experience with version control system (i.e.git)
Enjoy collaborating with team members to create innovative solutions
Have experience with a modern IDE (IntelliJ /VSCode) andproficiencyin usingthe refactoringtools
Be open to discussing and honing approaches for our team to improve our working practices
Have some experience of test-driven development and mocking libraries (Jest, Mockito)
Be familiar with collaborative documentation tools (Jira and Confluence)
Havesomereal knowledgeof Agile practices and execution (Scrum, Kanban)
Wanting to learn or have experience with AI based solutions
Beeager to learn and growmy skills and experience
