Job Description

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Architecture & Design:
    • Contribute to the design and implementation of microservices-based applications in AWS Cloud, primarily using C#, .NET, Angular, and JavaScript.
    • Build features with guidance from senior engineers, following established architecture and security standards.
    • Help integrate services with existing systems, third-party services, and BI dashboarding tools.
    • Participate in technical discussions and learn how to evaluate scalability, performance, and reliability considerations.
  • Development and Implementation:
    • Develop high-quality, maintainable code by following team coding standards and best practices.
    • Support CI/CD processes for automated build, test, and deployment workflows.
    • Participate in code reviews to improve code quality and grow technical skills.
    • Troubleshoot issues, fix defects, and contribute to continuous improvement of the codebase.
  • Database Management:
    • Work with MSSQL and Vertica databases to support efficient data storage and retrieval.
    • Write and optimize queries with support from team members.
    • Help maintain data quality and integrity in day-to-day development tasks.
  • Innovation and Improvement:
    • Stay current with software development practices and emerging technologies.
    • Bring new ideas to the team and contribute to process and tooling improvements.
    • Demonstrate curiosity, learning agility, and a growth mindset.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience:
    • 0 to 2 years of software development experience (internships, co-op, academic, or project experience accepted).
    • Foundational understanding of object-oriented programming and modern software development principles.
    • Exposure to backend development using C# and .NET.
    • Exposure to front-end development using Angular or JavaScript.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Basic proficiency in C# and .NET.
    • Familiarity with REST APIs and microservices concepts.
    • Basic understanding of source control and collaborative development workflows.
    • Exposure to CI/CD concepts and tools (Azure DevOps is a plus).
    • Basic knowledge of relational databases such as MSSQL (Vertica exposure is a plus).
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong problem-solving aptitude and willingness to learn.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • Project experience building full-stack or cloud-based applications.
  • Familiarity with AWS services and cloud-native development concepts.
