TECHNOLOGY LEAD, DIGITAL & ECOMMERCE

We are looking for a senior technologist expected to lead a development pod building best in class digital and e-commerce solutions for Abbott’s Divisions based on Salesforce.com, Adobe Experience Manager, Magento, Mobile app development tools and service bus integration´s architecture.
The Technology Lead ensures the solution design outlined by the Solution architect is delivered in line with best practices, embedding our standards of quality, reusability, scalability and configurability.
The technical lead works with the business systems analyst, project manager and solution architect to deliver on our commitments to our business partners. This role is also key to the testing issue resolution process, providing a key end to end knowledge of the solutions built and root cause analysis.
The Agile Technical lead will manage true end-to-end development and testing of software products in an agile and waterfall lifecycles.
The technical lead will guide and coach the senior developers and developers (internal and external) on standards, code quality and continuous improvement opportunities.
You have worked on medium to large scale projects and want to take your impact to the global scale. You can work across multi-functional teams and multiple applications using the best each to meet business needs.


CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
•Partner with the Business Systems Analyst and Solution Architect to fully understand the business requirements and the design principles to be followed.
•Ensuring the definition of done is met for all software delivery by the development team including code quality, reusability, configurability and scalability.
•Lead technical discussions on solutioning options available to meet the business outcome on multiple projects at the same time
•Leads and guides the technical direction of a team of developers while retaining their hands-on development skills by adding to the team’s delivery.
•Establish and implement contemporary CRM, digital and e-commerce architectures capable of meeting a continuously changing industry and market environment to support Abbott’s strategic goals.
•Ability to translate business requirements into system level design and detailed technical architecture documents.
•Help identify opportunities for and drive Continuous Improvement activities.
•Work together with product scrums to define sprint planning, backlog priorities and support developer team to achieve the sprints goals and remove impediments. Scrum of Scrums role.


EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE
•Bachelor’s Degree
•Minimum 7 years of experience in delivering IT solutions in a digital and e-commerce landscape
•Experience with Lean / Agile development methodologies
•Strong experience with modern web technologies: JavaScript, HTML5, CSS / Sass and market-leading frameworks (React is a preference)
• Strong experience (at least 7+ years') Java / PHP / React Development experience
•Technical Leadership experience
•Good understanding of design principles
•Experience implementing Adobe Experience Manager and Magento in a header less architecture for web and mobile.
•Experience implementing CloudSense order management / Salesforce solutions
•Experience with MuleSoft / AWS Lambda based integration
•Strong experience with solutions respecting security and data privacy (GDPR, CCPA) and PCI compliance requirements
•A strong background in technical solution design
•Good experience with Agile SCRUM development
•Advanced knowledge of development in Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) environment.
•Experience developing or working with Cloud-based technologies such as Amazon Web Services is highly desired.
•Excellent oral and written communication, presenting, meeting facilitation, negotiation, decision making, and problem-solving skills in both English and Spanish.
•Experience working in matrix global organization with working in virtual geographically disparate teams being the norm.
