Software Engineer (Digital)

What you’ll be doing…

Based in our Brisbane Head Office, you’ll work within our Digital squads to bring our digital strategy to life—building features, products and experiences that our customers love.

You’ll play a key role in designing and developing modern, scalable web applications, contributing to both the technical direction and hands-on delivery across our digital platforms.

• Build and enhance customer-facing web applications using React, JavaScript and TypeScript
• Contribute to solution design and problem solving across front-end technologies
• Deliver high-quality, scalable and maintainable code that meets business and customer needs
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, designers and engineers to deliver features end-to-end
• Ensure a strong focus on performance, usability and customer experience
• Leverage modern engineering practices and AI-assisted tools to improve development efficiency and quality
• Maintain clear and up-to-date technical documentation across systems and processes
• Actively contribute to continuous improvement across engineering practices, tools and ways of working

You will be great in this role if you have…

• Proven experience building modern web applications using React, JavaScript and TypeScript
• Strong understanding of front-end fundamentals including HTML, CSS, responsive design and browser behaviour
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments within cross-functional squads
• Ability to write clean, scalable and well-tested code
• Experience with testing frameworks and modern development tools (e.g. GitLab, Jira, Confluence)
• A collaborative mindset with the ability to work closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• A proactive approach to problem solving, with the ability to take ownership and deliver outcomes
• Experience working in fast-paced environments with competing priorities
• Exposure to AI-assisted development tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Codex or similar)
