Leidos Defense is seeking a Software Engineer to join a highly talented team within the RF Systems Portfolio in Huntsville, AL. This portfolio supports radar design, hardware builds, algorithm development, software development, hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) testing, and weapons system analysis across a diverse range of research, development, and operational programs.
Primary Responsibilities
In this role, assignments may focus on one or more of the following areas:
Design, develop, test, and maintain software using Agile methodologies.
Develop tactical software for Leidos Dynetics radar systems.
Create modeling, simulation, and analysis toolsets supporting:
Algorithm development
Requirements development
System testing
Prototype radar system development
Test, analyze, and debug complex software systems across multiple architectures and operating systems.
Collaborate in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment supporting advanced RF and radar technologies.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field from an ABET-accredited institution with a 3.0 GPA or higher plus 4-8 years’ experience in software development or engineering.
Strong understanding of:
Object-oriented design
Data structures
Network communications
Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced technical environment.
Must be a U.S. citizen and possess an active Secret clearance or have the ability to obtain a secret clearance.
Must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville–North Alabama region.

Familiarity with radar systems is a plus.

Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00
The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
