The founding team is dedicated to building a strong engineering culture with a bias toward action, creating an environment where high-agency individuals can make a significant impact from day one. What You Will Do

• Design, build, and maintain robust backend systems and APIs that drive core product functionality.
• Own data infrastructure decisions, focusing on schema design, query optimization, and best practices using PostgreSQL.
• Architect and implement integrations with third-party systems and internal services to enhance product capabilities.
• Contribute to systems design discussions and technical strategy, shaping the direction of the company at an early stage.
• Operate as a full stack engineer when necessary, engaging in front-end work as needed.
• Collaborate closely with the founding team in a fast-paced environment, where your decisions directly influence the product and infrastructure.
• Engage with AI-native product development, establishing strong engineering practices as the team scales.

Ideal Candidate Background

• 3–6 years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong emphasis on backend development.
• Proficient in PostgreSQL and relational database design, with a deep understanding of indexing, normalization, and query planning.
• Demonstrated experience in systems design, building scalable architectures, and integrating services.
• Comfortable in fast-moving, early-stage environments, thriving in ambiguity without needing extensive processes.
• High agency and proactive, with a track record of identifying problems and driving solutions independently.

Preferred

• An entrepreneurial mindset, with a genuine interest in building products or starting a company in the future.
• Some front-end exposure, enough to contribute occasionally without requiring deep specialization.
• Curiosity about AI and machine learning, with a desire to work on AI-native products.
