What Makes This Role Great:

In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of re-imagining how SketchUp delivers cutting-edge modeling solutions, directly influencing the shift toward nondestructive design workflows. You will evolve the development of SketchUp Live Components, the Materia geometry cloud compute service and visual coding applications, making a tangible impact on a product used by millions of creatives worldwide.

Key Exciting Responsibilities

  • Integrate and extend Live Components procedural modeling within SketchUp using high-performance C++ code.

  • Evolve our core geometry cloud compute engine through innovative C# development to power complex designs.

  • Create intuitive, nondestructive modeling tools that transform how users interact with 3D space.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional global teams to translate product visions into high-quality, unit-tested software.

  • Champion code quality by performing rigorous design reviews and maintaining excellence in our parametric solutions.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • You possess 5+ years of experience crafting robust applications using C++/C#.

  • You have a strong foundation in 3D graphics and applied mathematics.

  • You are experienced in client development for Windows or macOS environments.

  • You bring a test-driven development mentality and familiarity with Agile methodologies.

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience with JavaScript, or TypeScript.

  • Hands-on experience with procedural 3D modeling tools.

  • A passion for creative industries like architecture, interior design, or fabrication.

Location: Wellington, New Zealand (In Office role)

Work Schedule: 9-day fortnight
