We're looking for a Software Development Manager to lead a talented engineering team, drive technical excellence, and deliver scalable, high-quality software solutions. You'll play a key role in shaping engineering culture, developing people, and partnering across product and technology teams to build innovative products that make a real difference for our customers.

  • Effectively lead a team of software developers/analysts in the requirements, design, development, test, and deployment of large distributed systems using microservices-based architecture.
  • Engage and lead a globally distributed team, and provide hands-on management, mentoring, and coaching of resources and drive annual goals.
  • People management duties, including hiring, firing, performance reviews, job requirements, interviewing candidates, staffing needs, assignments to team, review of work, growth opportunity for staff, in-person/remote supervision, etc.
  • Effectively communicate software solution expectations to internal customers, team members and other stakeholders.
  • Propose, design and implement scalable, sustainable and cost-effective solutions meeting internal and external customers’ objectives.
  • Engage with senior management, peers and internal customers to plan and prioritize projects and resource allocation.
  • Proactively communicate statuses, issues and escalations to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Work with external vendors to source, negotiate and manage contract resources and solution services.
  • Solid software development experience, including experience leading engineering teams and delivering enterprise applications.
  • Strong technical background in software architecture, application design, and cloud-native development.
  • Hands-on experience with modern technologies, including .NET/C#, JavaScript, Python, REST APIs, microservices, SQL Server, Snowflake, and search technologies (OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, or Solr).
  • Experience building and operating applications in AWS or other cloud environments.
  • Understanding of AI/ML technologies, including LLMs, Generative AI, and AI-powered application development; familiarity with RAG architectures, vector databases, and AI development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) is a plus.
  • Proven ability to lead Agile software delivery, balancing technical excellence, business priorities, and customer needs.
  • Experience driving architecture, technical design, development, testing, deployment, and operational support.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build high-performing teams and influence technical direction across engineering and business partners.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at both technical and executive levels.
