We’re expanding our Product and Project Management teams in Novi Sad and seeking aSoftware Development Managerto lead the development of our cutting-edge AI platform for film production and post-production.
You’ll collaborate closely with our founder, senior leadership, and our Machine Learning Engineering and Research teams to build next-generation solutions forAutodesk Flow Studio(formerly Wonder Studio), our AI-powered VFX platform. This role bridges engineering, product, and business functions to deliver AI-driven solutions, streamline workflows, and shape the future of VFX technology.

Key Responsibilities
Software Development & Project Management

• Plan and manage successful completion of software development releases
• Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to define requirements and priorities
• Build and manage cross-functional teams (internal and contract)
• Drive Agile development practices (Scrum, iterative delivery)
• Communicate release plans and progress to stakeholders
• Evaluate project costs, risks, and benefits

Performance Management

• Monitor team performance and ensure alignment with project goals
• Facilitate clear communication and issue resolution
• Make informed decisions balancing trade-offs and risks
• Remove blockers and adjust plans as needed

Team Leadership

• Align team efforts with organizational goals
• Motivate and inspire team members to achieve excellence
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
• Support career development through coaching, feedback, and growth opportunities
• Advocate for the team’s achievements and needs across the organization

Technical Leadership

• Maintain a competent level of technical expertise to work effectively with team members
• Maintain technical fluency to effectively support and guide the team
• Stay current with industry trends, tools, and methodologies
• Coordinate with other Autodesk teams to align efforts and share insights
• Identify and champion reusable components and scalable solutions

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Development Manager in AI or high-end software environments
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and project management skills
• Proven ability to deliver well-structured project plans and communicate across teams
• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Notion)
• Ability to escalate effectively and seek support when needed
• Familiarity with project management tools and best practices
• Creative problem-solving and strategic thinking
• Technical or design background preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
