Milestone Technologies is currently searching for a Lead Software Engineer candidate to join our IT Development team.

Responsibilities

• Design test plans, automate test cases, and present test strategies for team review.
• Execute test plans, capture test results, and ensure quality assurance.
• Publish test reports and participate in Go or No Go decisions.
• Ensure effective communication of project and testing status to Development and QA teams.
• Execute other quality assurance tasks as requested.

Skills

• Hands-on experience in Java.
• Experience with test automation tools (Junit, Mockito, WireMock).
• Experience testing APIs (REST API, JSON, XML).
• Experience working with REST API (Swagger, RestAssured).
• Understanding of QA methodologies, life cycle, and processes.
• Strong programming, debugging experience, and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Review new feature designs, validate test specifications, and ensure comprehensive testing.
• Identify defects and own them through the resolution and verification cycle.
• Work on Protractor and Big Data technologies is an added advantage.
• Experience with TestNG or Junit frameworks.
• Sound knowledge of frameworks, Java & Oops concept.
• Experience in different databases like Oracle and SQL.
• Excellent knowledge of Agile QA/Dev processes and the software development life cycle.
• Previous work experience in a Payment/e-commerce company.
• Substantial experience creating/updating/reviewing/executing automated and manual tests.
• Experience in both functional testing and system testing.
• University degree in Computer Science, Programming, or equivalent education.
• Minimum 3 years experience in software quality assurance and testing.
• Excellent knowledge of QA processes, principles, and the software development lifecycle.
• Experience working in an agile development cycle.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence.
• Working knowledge of application servers such as Weblogic.
• Effective communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
