Job Description

We're looking for a Senior SDE-T to define and own quality engineering for Amazon Lists as we build AI-powered customer experiences. You'll bring a quality-first mindset and raise the bar for how we ship at Amazon scale.

Our team is reimagining how hundreds of millions of customers curate, discover, and connect through lists. We're applying generative AI to transform Lists and collaborative shopping into intelligent, personalized experiences. As we build these 0→1 features on top of Tier-1 systems serving billions of daily requests, we need quality engineering that keeps pace with our ambition.

You'll architect test frameworks that validate AI-powered list features (where outputs are non-deterministic and customer experiences are conversational), design scalability and performance testing across our service fleet, and embed quality gates into our CI/CD pipelines. You'll influence how our development engineers build for testability and represent quality engineering in our roadmap planning.

You'll own our quality strategy end-to-end: from designing test architectures and building scalable automation frameworks, to partnering with product and development engineers to ship list experiences that work reliably at scale. You'll be a technical leader, mentoring engineers, influencing team practices, and ensuring we ship with high confidence as we iterate rapidly.

About Amazon

Amazon is guided by four principles: customer obsession rather than competitor focus, passion for invention, commitment to operational excellence, and long-term thinking. We are driven by the excitement of building technologies, inventing products, and providing services that change lives. We embrace new ways of doing things, make decisions quickly, and are not afraid to fail. We have the scope and capabilities of a large company, and the spirit and heart of a small one.

Together, Amazonians research and develop new technologies from Amazon Web Services to Alexa on behalf of our customers: shoppers, sellers, content creators, and developers around the world.

Our mission is to be Earth's most customer-centric company. Our actions, goals, projects, programs, and inventions begin and end with the customer top of mind.

You'll also hear us say that at Amazon, it's always "Day 1." What do we mean? That our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon's very first day - to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and focus on delighting our customers.
