Job Description

We are looking for a SDET based in Latin America to work on a long-term project for one of our clients, one of the 100 fastest-growing tech companies in North America.

Our client transforms how audit, risk, and compliance professionals manage today’s dynamic risk landscape with a modern, connected platform that engages the front lines, surfaces the risks that matter, and drives better strategic decision-making.

The person in this role will help architect, design, and build automation and integration tests to support backend services and infrastructure engineering quality initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Own technical components of test frameworks, test infrastructure and test tooling.
• Design, create, maintain, and optimize test automation frameworks for web applications..
• Develop and lead synthetic data and generative AI strategies to enhance testing capabilities and efficiency.
• Design and implement architectural roadmaps to transition legacy test frameworks into self-healing, AI-driven ecosystems.
• Evaluate, prototype, and implement agentic tooling to enhance automation capabilities, testing infrastructure, and system reliability.
• Manage technical communications and provide mentorship to junior SDETs and engineering team members.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, platform, architecture, and product teams to deliver scalable and reliable testing solutions.
• Drive improvements in product testability by contributing feedback on system architecture, application workflows, and engineering design decisions.
• Research emerging test tools, frameworks, methodologies, and industry trends, and evolve existing practices to align with the changing technology landscape.
  

Requirements

• Advanced Level of English
• 5+ years of proven experience in SDET roles.
• 4+ years of experience using Playwright or Cypress.
• 4+ years of experience coding with JavaScript and/or TypeScript (preferred).
• 4+ years of experience building test automation solutions for SaaS and/or B2B internet-based applications.
• 3+ years of experience developing test automation frameworks using Node.js, NPM, and related technologies.
• Experience building infrastructure-as-code automation solutions using tools such as Terraform, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, and similar technologies.
• Strong experience debugging complex issues across distributed systems, services, and application layers.
• Strong technical foundation with experience evaluating new technologies and contributing to architectural decisions that improve application quality, infrastructure, and team productivity.
• Experience testing web applications hosted on AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum and other Agile development methodologies.
• Strong analytical and collaboration skills, with experience partnering with developers on troubleshooting, peer reviews, and quality initiatives.
