Job Description

We are seeking talented SDETs (Software Development Engineers in Test) who can work within a

complex enterprise technology landscape to design and develop test data solutions using emerging

automation frameworks.

As an SDET with DHL Supply Chain, you would work with Software engineers as well as other test

automation engineers to design, develop and maintain automation solutions for effective and efficient test

execution. You will be responsible to develop and maintain existing automation frameworks that use Java

and other technologies. You will also work with clients, analysts, developers and other team members to

establish an automation test coverage strategy that supports warehouse management system design

specifications and the implementation of systems throughout the entire software development life cycle.

Excellent technical and interpersonal skills to lead, coach and mentor other project team members in order

to execute the strategy.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement test data solutions using Java technologies
• Hands-on experience in setting up continuous integration (CI) build environments
• Familiarity with containerization software such as Docker
• Experience with defect trackers such as Jira
• Experience with front end automated testing tools such as Selenium WebdriverIO
• Demonstrable object-oriented development skills
• Experience driving API test automation scripts
• End-to-end application testing experience
• Demonstrable test-driven development experience
• Experience contributing to backlog, story grooming, and/or requirement sessions.
• Consult with customers to understand their test data needs
• Review, estimate and fulfill test data requests
• Deliver solutions in accordance with enterprise standards and within development and operational

guardrails

• Mentor and collaborate with other team members in developing test data solutions
• Debug software and perform reviews of application code
• Learn and keep up to date with business and application knowledge
• Regularly evaluate available test data solutions and identify areas of improvement
• Partner with product owners and developers to identify areas for improvement
• Collaborate across the enterprise with application and cross-application teams to create integrated test

data

• Assist in troubleshooting application defects
• Share and communicate ideas both verbally and in writing to staff, business sponsors, managers, and

technical resources in clear concise language that is appropriate to the target audience

• Participate in communities of practice to share knowledge, learn, and innovate
• Research and implement tools that support rapid and high quality test data delivery across the

enterprise

• Utilize excellent communication skills to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders from

Senior Leaders to other engineers, and present to both technical and non-technical audiences

• Demonstrable experience developing test estimations, test plans, and developing automated test scripts

from scratch.

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field or 2+ years Software Development Testing, required
• 5+ years of Software Development or Software Development testing, preferred
• Relevant certifications (Certified Tester - Foundation Level), preferred
• Strong knowledge of Object Oriented Development and Code Quality, preferred
• experience developing in Java Technology Stack, preferred
