About the role

  • Gather business and functional requirements from business stakeholders, and translate requirements into technical specifications to build robust, scalable solutions that work well between a range of complex systems

  • Drive technical workshops and participate in RFI and RFPs, technical product evaluations.

  • Propose architecture / solutions with stakeholders and resolving identified issues.

  • Establishing agreement from subject matter experts on proposed architecture / solutions

  • Assisting with refactoring of existing solutions where appropriate

  • Define and understand the current state solutions and identify improvements, options andtradeoffsto define target state solutions.

  • Working in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software and encouraging an Agile mindset within the team.

  • Provide design reviews for other engineers, including feedback on architecture and design issues, as well as integration, performance and scalability.

  • Provide technical leadership for custom solutions and recommendation for ERPs

  • Effective operational delivery of the architecture governance and assurance framework

  • Manage application assets, that ensures systems are scalable, reliable and manageable

  • Maintain frameworks and artefacts used in the implementation of an application with reference to system architecture of the overall application portfolio.

  • Responsible for application architecture suchas serviceoriented architecture, Integration patterns, more specifically microservices, APIs and other cloud native architectures

  • Implement automation for application by emplacing agile and dev ops principles to drive efficiencies.

  • Designing and implementing cloud infrastructure for high availability and reliability.

  • Work knowledge of one or more public cloud environments with specific experience running containerized workloads on Kubernetes

  • Perform design code reviews thoroughly on a regular basis and security aspects

  • Transform all applications into digital form and implement and evolve around app and service architecture that support new technologies like IOT and machine learning.

  • Produce artefacts such as architecture, interface specifications,Implement bestpractices and reusable artifacts to enhance productivity.

  • Technical support to the engineering teams in terms of POCs and technical guidance.
