Responsibilities

• Collaborate with experienced software engineers to solve business problems and bring innovative products to be consumed by end users.
• Design, implement, test, deploy and maintain innovative software solutions starting with broadly defined problems.
• Maintain, contribute and adhere to programming best practices and guidelines to ensure a high standard of quality for all of the team deliverables.
• Work in an agile, startup development environment, where you are always working on the most important stuff.
• Thrives in a complex and ambiguous environment, continuously adapting for business & users.
• Design and build innovative products in the microservice architecture, and help lead fundamental changes in the industry.
• Building reusable code and libraries for future use.
• Integration of user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Build systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, and easy to manage/use.

Requirements

• 1+ years of professional software development experience to build systems with scalable Architecture that have been successfully delivered to customers.
• Excellent command over Data Structures and Algorithms.
• Exceptional coding skills in an Object Oriented programming language such as Ruby, Python, and Java.
• Strong Computer Science and development fundamentals, including object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, and complexity analysis.
• Experience with web technologies, Rails, Spring, Flask, Linux, MySQL, ElasticSearch, and Redis.
• Knowledge of professional software engineering for the full SD life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Experience in architecting & building real-time, large-scale applications.
• Experience working with dynamic document stores like MongoDB.
• Experience in extracting common code into gems/libraries.
• Adept at handling ambiguous or undefined problems as well as the ability to think abstractly.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor junior software engineers or software developers in all aspects of their engineering duties.
• Experience communicating with users, software development engineering teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features and technical designs.
